WWE Replacement For Sheamus In Last Time Is Now Tournament

With WWE announcing that Sheamus is now out of the Last Time Is Now tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent, he will need a replacement.

From others who were in the tournament to some surprises that would just be fun to see, there are some definite possibilities for who could take over Sheamus’ spot in the bracket.

Here are six WWE replacements for Sheamus in the Last Time Is Now tournament.

6. Rey Mysterio

Sheamus appeared on WWE Raw in a big way this past week, teaming with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to take on the Judgment Day trio of Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

While the babyfaces captured victory on the show, it would end up being revealed on November 21 that Sheamus was medically unable to continue in the tournament due to a shoulder injury.

With John Cena set to face Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series 2025, it might be the perfect swap to have Rey Mysterio tap into the Last Time Is Now tournament.

Having missed much of 2025, Mysterio could end up going all the way in the tournament and putting on an amazing last match with John Cena.
