In 2020, Wade Barrett returned to WWE as a color commentator over on the NXT brand.

Moving up to the WWE main roster in 2022, Barrett has become one of the best announcers for the entire company bringing an air of credibility and knowledge unlike anyone else behind the commentary desk.

With speculation always there regarding a potential in-ring return, WWE may one day have to think about possible choices to replace the former five-time Intercontinental Champion at the commentator position.

Here are seven potential WWE replacements for Wade Barrett.

7. Booker T

Over on WWE NXT, Booker T has served as the color commentator since Wade Barrett’s move to the main roster in 2022.

With his eccentric enthusiasm, the WWE Hall of Famer has been a voice that has been behind many memorable moments on the brand over the past few years.

Whether it be his signature call of Stephanie Vaquer’s Devil’s Kiss or ad-libbing Trick Williams’ theme song, Booker has created an entire vibe behind the commentary call on NXT.

Bringing this flare back to Friday Night SmackDown, Booker T could be a great replacement for Barrett who might not have the same stoic feel, but makes up for that with his undeniable charisma.
