WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event makes its return for the first time since 2008 with a special airing on NBC and Peacock.
While the company has assembled an intriguing five-match card, there are still more matches and feuds that they can highlight for the show.
Whether it be a red hot storyline or a title match, the fans would be satisfied to see just a little more in-ring action during the special event.
Here are six matches that could potentially be added to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs. Alpha Academy (Otis & Akira Tozawa)
On the December 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, The New Day celebrated their 10 year anniversary with an in-ring reunion between the original three members.
To the shock of all the WWE fans, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turned on Big E, telling their long time friend that he was holding them back with his neck injury, accusing him of leaving them and kicked him out of The New Day.
With the heat that Kingston and Woods received the following week on Raw, the company should put a bigger spotlight on this new version of the 12-time WWE Tag Team Champions.
After their loss on the November 25 episode, The New Day should look for revenge against the Alpha Academy in a quick match to have the Long Island fans boo them out of the building.
