6 Surprises At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event WWE

WWE’s legendary prime-time show Saturday Night’s Main Event returns for its 39th edition on 24 May.

Taking place at the Yuengling Centre in Tampa, Florida, the event is set to be headlined by a world title clash between reigning champion Jey Uso and Logan Paul.

The show will undoubtedly deliver a handful of surprises, helping shape the company’s storylines ahead of a stacked summer schedule that includes Money in the Bank, Night of Champions, and a two-night SummerSlam.

Here are six surprises we could see at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

6. Randy Orton Costs John Cena His Victory

WWE stars John Cena and Randy Orton

At WWE’s last PLE, Backlash, R-Truth got involved in the main event, ultimately helping John Cena retain the Undisputed Championship against Randy Orton.

For his efforts, Truth was then put through a table by Cena at the post-show press conference.

This set up a non-title match between the two at Saturday Night’s Main Event, with Truth vowing to “beat some sense” into his “childhood hero”.

The fact that it’s a non-title match is key, as it opens the door for Orton to potentially return the favour by costing Cena the victory and setting up a title rematch at Money in the Bank.
