After a lengthy hiring freeze, WWE has spent the past year stacking up various big time free agents from all around the wrestling scene.

In 2024, the company acquired the likes of Jacob Fatu, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, Zaria, Ethan Page and The Motor City Machine Guns. Things have not slowed down in 2025 either.

Over the first few months of this year, the likes of Penta, Ricky Saints and Rey Fenix have all made their debuts in the promotion.

With a litany of talent recently hitting or about to hit the free agency market, here are seven new WWE signings to be potentially added to the roster.

7. Jeff Cobb

New WWE signing Jeff Cobb

In March, reports emerged that NJPW star Jeff Cobb had been listed on a WWE internal roster and was expected to join the roster.

Despite winning the IWGP Tag Team Championship alongside Callum Newman at NJPW Sakura Genesis on April 5, New Japan announced that Cobb had decided to depart the company just nine days later.

With many reports and rumours expecting Cobb to make the move to WWE, it looks like the 42 year old star will be the next signing for the biggest pro wrestling promotion in the world.

The former NJPW World TV Champion could be a valuable asset for WWE where his size, look, charisma and in-ring ability should be showcased to become a reliable performer for the company.
