Finally leaving Las Vegas after a monumental WrestleMania, this week’s WWE SmackDown comes from Fort Worth, Texas.
The post-WrestleMania show will undoubtedly feature some major shifts in the landscape as we head towards the upcoming PLE, Backlash.
With the Raw-after-Mania being the best in recent years, SmackDown has a lot to live up to – and debuts, returns and potential in-ring bangers seem all but guaranteed.
Here are five changes we could expect to see on SmackDown this week.
5. The Lucha Bros Unite
When Rey Fenix finally joined WWE last month, he was placed on SmackDown rather than being reunited with his brother and tag team partner Penta on Raw.
With both brothers failing to find singles success at WrestleMania – and Penta losing to Dominik Mysterio on this week’s Raw – it now feels like the right time to reunite the Lucha Brothers.
On SmackDown, there’s the potential for standout matches with DIY, Motor City Machine Guns, and Tag Team Champions The Street Profits.
The Lucha Brothers have been one of the greatest tag teams of the past decade, and could soon be wowing the WWE audience.
