WWE SmackDown Live Review, May 22, 2018 – Stipulation Abomination

The Rest

  • Naomi beat Sonya Deville (because there weren’t enough women on the roster to have a brand new pairing) to qualify for the MitB ladder match. This was fine.
  • Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas beat another local jobber, and once again Zelina Vega spoke about how if WWE weren’t going to give him some real competition, he would find it (sounds like old Braun gimmick to me). The crowd hasn’t really popped for Andrade, so hopefully, he’s booked in a way that the crowd will start cheering because he is an incredible wrestler.
  • Lana qualified for the MitB ladder match after beating Billie Kay in about five seconds. It was great to see her being accompanied to the ring by Aiden English, who held up a ‘Lana Day’ sign. Chants of Lana Day rang through the crowd for a long time after the match. Despite the feel-good moment, there’s no way she’s winning the briefcase.
  • Carmella said, “Mella is money”… again.

So Smackdown is once again so much better than Raw. What were your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter here.
