WWE Stars To Join New CM Punk Faction Against John Cena

When John Cena first announced his retirement tour last year, CM Punk wasted no time expressing his desire to face his old rival one final time.

Still, it shocked many when WWE confirmed on the 9 June edition of Raw that Punk would challenge Cena for the Undisputed Title at Night of Champions — given Punk’s past publicly stated antipathy to wrestling in Saudi Arabia.

With the bout set for June 28, Punk may need backup, as Cena has regularly aligned himself with others during this reign: both Logan Paul and Travis Scott.

Here are five WWE stars CM Punk could turn to for support in his feud with Cena.

5. Ron Killings (R-Truth)

On the 13 June edition of SmackDown, John Cena and CM Punk went back-and-forth on the microphone ahead of their Undisputed WWE Title clash at Night of Champions.

The promo battle came to an end when Ron Killings appeared and attacked Cena, locking him into his own patented STF submission.

Punk appeared to anticipate the attack, emphasising “the truth” about Cena moments before Killings emerged.

Given Punk’s vocal support for Killings after WWE initially decided not to renew his contract, are we now seeing the beginnings of a formal alliance between the two – united against Cena?
