At WWE Elimination Chamber 2025, John Cena shocked the world by turning heel for the first time in 20 years by brutally assaulting Cody Rhodes and joining forces with The Rock.

Since then, Cena has expressed his goal to take what the fans hold dearest to their hearts, which is the Undisputed WWE Championship when he faces Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.

With Cena aligning with The Rock and Travis Scott, there have been questions if this new unit will have other talent on the WWE roster join their agenda.

Looking at the current roster and the potential directions for this storyline, here are seven WWE stars to potentially join a new John Cena faction.

7. Carmelo Hayes

Ever since signing with WWE in 2021, Carmelo Hayes has never made it a secret that he has looked up to John Cena.

With two men being Boston natives, their connection is quite obvious and could work as a mentor-protege style relationship on WWE TV.

After getting called up to SmackDown as a first round pick in the WWE Draft 2024, Hayes has been unable to find a prominent role on the brand.

While he is currently aligned with The Miz, Cena would be a much better option to be a mentor to the former NXT Champion in a potential new faction.
