Whether it be when they debut in the company or to give a them a fresh start, WWE has been known for changing the names of its talent for many years now.
Most recently, WWE changed the name of former AEW star Ricky Starks to Ricky Saints upon his arrival on the NXT brand.
There are a few more stars currently on the roster who could have their names changed for a variety of reasons.
Looking at talent who might need or could benefit from this shift, here are six WWE stars to potentially undergo name changes.
6. Penta – Pentagon Jr.
Originally going by the name during his time in Mexico and in TNA Wrestling, Pentagon Jr. became one of the most popular and well known luchadors in the world.
Signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2019, the Mexican star would undergo several name changes going from Pentagon Jr. to Pentagon Dark and Penta El Zero Miedo over the course of six years with the promotion.
Debuting this past January in WWE, the masked luchador became simply known as Penta and came into the company with a ton of momentum.
With WWE recently acquiring Lucha Libre AAA, the company may have the option to revert back to his Pentagon Jr. moniker since thats’s where he was known by that name in the first place.
