WWE’s current roster is both expansive and full of talent, yet several performers remain underutilised.
History shows that a change of gimmick can reignite a career. From Isaac Yankem becoming Kane to unpopular babyface Roman Reigns evolving into the Tribal Chief, WWE has a tradition of successful transformations.
The following stars could all benefit from a change in gimmicks to kickstart their careers.
6. Otis
On the 5 May edition of Raw, Otis faced the returning Rusev in a six-minute meat fest – a heavy-hitting hoss battle between two large humans.
For years, Otis has been saddled with a comedic gimmick that’s kept him stuck in the lower mid-card.
His showing in this bout proved he’s capable of much more – as a serious, hard-striking powerhouse.
A gimmick change ditching the comedy could finally let Otis rise beyond novelty status.
