WWE Stars To Miss WrestleMania 42

With several storylines still up in the air, there are some WWE stars that seem very likely to end up missing out on WrestleMania 42 entirely.

From stars that have yet to return from injury to others that have no storylines on the horizon, it could be that there are numerous WWE stars set to miss out on the big event.

Here are six WWE stars that seem likely to miss WrestleMania 42.

6. Chad Gable

While he made an appearance in the 2026 Royal Rumble as The Original El Grande Americano, there has yet to be an official return to action from the unmasked Chad Gable himself.

Building up a rivalry with the El Grande Americano who took over when Gable got injured – which is Ludwig Kaiser – it appears Gable, who was previously working as both Americano and as himself, will be completely occupied with wearing the mask for the time being.

WrestleMania season or even Mania itself could see an Americano vs Americano match between Gable and Kaiser with the loser, or both, getting unmasked.

If that happens, it would mark the official return of Gable and could lead to an American Made reunion with Ivy Nile and the Creed Brothers.
