WWE Night of Champions will start a string of four major events for the company over the next six weeks culminating with SummerSlam at the start of August.
These shows will feature several high profile title bouts that should lead to championship gold switching hands over the next month or so.
Whether it be the top prizes in their respective divisions or a mid-card strap, these title changes should significantly alter the course of the remaining of the year.
Here are seven potential WWE title changes coming soon.
7. Cody Rhodes Continues His Story By Ending John Cena’s Undisputed WWE Championship Reign
Since WrestleMania 41, the wrestling world has been witness to John Cena’s quest to ruin wrestling – a goal he is aiming to achieve by holding the Undisputed WWE Championship hostage until he eventually retires with the title.
Wanting to become “The Last Real Champion” some of Cena’s greatest rivals have been trying to wrestle away the gold from him.
However, it really feels like the man Cena beat for the title is the one who should eventually beat him to take the most prestigious prize in WWE today.
Cody Rhodes seems to be on the verge of winning the King of the Ring, which will give him the chance to continue his story by defeating Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam this August.
