Following his win at WWE Royal Rumble 2026, Roman Reigns has chosen CM Punk to face for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.

With most fans assuming this will be the Mania Night Two main event, there are some questions surrounding what will be the Night One headliner.

Considering the major titles that will be at stake and heated rivalries set to culminate at the event, there could be some interesting plans for the WrestleMania 42 Night One show closer.

Here are seven potential options for the WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One main event.

7. Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Jacob Fatu – Undisputed WWE Championship

On the January 9 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Drew McIntyre defeated Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell Match to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

This victory came as a result of the returning Jacob Fatu getting involved in the final fall of their match in a steel cage and attacking both competitors, leading to McIntyre escaping the cage to win.

In the weeks since then, fans have seen McIntyre, Rhodes and Fatu brawling and costing each other wins.

This seems to be setting the stage for a massive three-way main event at WrestleMania 42 where McIntyre will defend the top prize on SmackDown against both Rhodes and Fatu in Las Vegas.
