10 Greatest Hell In A Cell Matches In WWE History

9. CACTUS JACK VS. TRIPLE H (No Way Out 2000)

The match which meant Mick Foley had to retire (for the first time), the lovable lunatic looked to go out with a bang with a ‘greatest hits’ performance inside of the mesh that had become his second home. He took the same big bumps as he had at King of the Ring in 1998, only this time the ring was gimmicked to break his fall when he was sent careening through the roof of the cage. The addition of a flaming barbed wire bat upped the visual ante, and the result—Triple H winning to retire lovable Mick—went a long way towards ‘making’ Triple H as a genuine headline attraction. The post-match send-off for Foley was an emotionally-charged moment that felt genuine in a world full of make-believe. What a shame he repeatedly ruined it with his frequent returns over the years.
