During the Royal Albert Hall tapings last week, Triple H confirmed what has been expected for 18-months: that WWE UK would become NXT UK, with regular tapings scheduled for the remainder of the year.
For the first time on the UK brand, WWE showcased some of the finest female talent in the country, having confirmed that the new NXT UK show would feature a women’s division and a women’s title. The group has already signed Toni Storm, Jinny, Killer Kelly, Isla Dawn, Nina Samuels and Charlie Morgan to be part of the brand, but who else from the British scene could they have brought into the fold?
We cover the men elsewhere on the site, now here are 10 of the best British female wrestlers that WWE did NOT sign for the brand.
10. Sierra Loxton
20-year old has had a strong year, wrestling for some of the top promotions in the country including RevPro, PROGRESS and Pro Wrestling Chaos. Had a couple of cracking bouts with teen sensation Millie McKenzie in March and April for ATTACK!. The ‘Freaky Princess’ from Wales only has two years experience under her belt but she is beginning to make serious waves wherever she wrestles.
9. Xia Brookside

It is perhaps something of a surprise that the colorful-haired teen was not signed up for the NXT UK women’s division given her family connections: her father is WWE trainer and British wrestling great Robbie Brookside. Instead, rather than simply riding her father’s coattails, Xia is commendably attempting to forge her own path in the business. Already has significant overseas experience under her belt after sojourns abroad to the US and Japan, and remains an active part of the British scene where she is IPW:UK Women’s Champion.
