WWE has confirmed two Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic first round matches for this coming Wednesday’s edition of NXT.
Both will pit NXT UK teams against NXT USA teams, which will probably mean like the last couple of weeks quite a bit of promotion for the Worlds Collide show on January 25.
The first is a battle of the champions as Mark Coffey and Wolfgang of Gallus, who are the NXT UK Tag Champions, take on the champs of the US brand, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly of Undisputed ERA.
At the aforementioned Worlds Collide show, the main event will be a four-on-four match with the entire Undisputed ERA taking on NXT UK’s Imperium, who also get their Dusty campaign underway on Wednesday.
The group’s Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel take on last year’s beaten finalists, Steve Cutler & Wesley Black of the Forgotten Sons.
Both of these NXT UK teams will be part of TakeOver: Blackpool II next Sunday in a four-way ladder match also including two former champs in the Grizzled Young Veterans, and Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster.
Also announced for this Wednesday’s NXT is a four-way match to determine the next challenger for Roderick Strong’s North American Title, which will be Keith Lee vs. Dominik Dijakovic vs. Damian Priest vs, Cameron Grimes.
