During tonight’s episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network, two more title matches were confirmed for the October 4 TakeOver.
Firstly, there was a Battle Royal to open the show which was won by Candice LeRae, who last eliminated runner-up Shotzi Blackheart to earn a shot at Io Shirai’s Women’s Title at TakeOver.
Then, in the main event ‘Gauntlet Eliminator’ match to determine who will challenge Finn Balor for the NXT Title, it was Kyle O’Reilly who emerged victorious.
O’Reilly made it all the way from being the first competitor in the match to last eliminating Cameron Grimes to get the win and stamp his ticket to TakeOver and an NXT Championship shot.
The only other match confirmed for TakeOver as of this writing is Damian Priest defending the North American Title against Johnny Gargano.
