The winner of the 2025 WWE King of the Ring tournament was crowned at tonight’s WWE Night of Champions event.
The 2025 King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments began earlier this month, with the first round matches taking place in four-way matches on Raw and SmackDown.
Randy Orton would win his first round match, defeating LA Knight, Aleister Black and Carmelo Hayes, while Cody Rhodes would also advance that night defeating Damian Priest, Shinsuke Nakamura and Andrade.
In the semi-finals, Orton knocked off Sami Zayn while Cody Rhodes defeated Jey Uso, setting up the King of the Ring final between the two men at Night of Champions.
The highly anticipated match between the two former stablemates kicked off the night, with the winner earning a shot at a World Championship at SummerSlam in New Jersey.
It was ultimately Cody who came out on top, using the exposed turnbuckle to put Orton down with a Cross Rhodes, with him being crowned the 2025 King of the Ring winner.
Cody will face the Undisputed WWE Champion at SummerSlam in New Jersey, whether it’s John Cena or CM Punk after their title match tonight.
