Jamie has been covering the world of wrestling for four years and currently holds the position of Assistant Editor of WrestleTalk.com. During his time working for WrestleTalk.com he has written and published over 4,000 news and feature articles covering events and happenings from WWE, AEW, TNA and a variety of international and independent wrestling promotions.

While many wrestlers have continued to wrestle into their 60s the list of those who wrestled after their 70th birthday is much shorter.

Former WWE and WCW name Chick Donovan returned to the ring at the Create A Pro event on May 13.

Amazingly the 76-year-old would compete on the very same card as his grandson and current Create A Pro Champion Bryce Donovan, who took to Twitter to commemorate the occasion with a post dedicated to his grandfather.

In the post Chick’s incredible current physique is shown, along with the visible resemblance shared between Bryce and Chick.

Chick’s in-ring career began back in 1977 before he made a name for himself in Georgia Championship Wrestling, however, he would later compete for the NWA, WCW and WWF.

During his time in WWE he would predominantly work as a sporadic enhancement talent, facing off against notable names such as Hulk Hogan and Ricky Steamboat.

Despite his career understandably winding down in recent years, Donovan has remained semi-active on the independent scene and clearly keeping himself in excellent physical condition.

Chick’s most recent bout prior to this past weekend took place in April 2021.
