Unique Number One Contenders Match Announced For Next IMPACT Wrestling Special IMPACT Wrestling

A unique number one contenders match has been announced for IMPACT Against All Odds.

At IMPACT Under Siege, Steve Maclin defeated PCO in a brutal, bloody no disqualification match to retain the IMPACT World Championship.

Elsewhere on the card, Alex Shelley won a six-way number one contenders match to earn a shot at the top prize in the company at IMPACT Against All Odds on Friday, June 9.

With the IMPACT World Title match set for the next IMPACT Plus special, eyes have now turned to who will get the shot at the winner at the company’s next major pay-per-view Slammiversary in July.

On May 30, the promotion announced that eight competitors will battle in “the first ever 8-4-1 match” to determine the number one contender for Slammiversary.

“The 8-4-1 match” will start with a 8 man tag team match with the winning team advancing to a four-way match and the winner will become the number one contender.

It will start with Bully Ray teaming with Jonathan Gresham, Heath and Nick Aldis to face Moose, PCO, Rich Swann and Speedball Mike Bailey.

Bully Ray made his return to IMPACT Wrestling at Under Siege where he aligned with Steve Maclin to attack IMPACT President Scott D’Amore and drove him through a table.

Meanwhile, Nick Aldis recently made his return to the company last month at Rebellion where he got into a confrontation with Maclin.
