A City In Texas Declares March 16 As ‘Thunder Rosa Day’ AEW

Thunder Rosa and Stone Cold Steve Austin now share a special day on the calendar after a city in Texas declares a date as “Thunder Rosa Day”.

March 16 is known by many as 3:16 Day in celebration of WWE Hall of Famer and WrestleMania 38 headliner Stone Cold Steve Austin.

However, March 16, 2022 was a special day for Thunder Rosa because she defeated Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. for the AEW Women’s World Championship on the St. Patrick’s Day Slam special of Dynamite in her adopted hometown of San Antonio, Texas.

Now, the AEW Women’s World Champion revealed on Twitter that Bexar County, Texas has officially declared that March 16 will be known as Thunder Rosa Day moving forward.

Thunder Rosa wore the iconic number on her ring gear during her win over Britt Baker.

Amongst pro wrestling fans, the date is commonly associated with Stone Cold Steve Austin due to his famous “Austin 3:16” promo following his King of the Ring 1996 win.

Austin came out of retirement this past Saturday at WrestleMania 38 to defeat Kevin Owens in the main event.
