Former NWA World Women’s Champion Serena Deeb has not been seen on AEW programming since last October.
Serena’s last match in the company took place on the October 18 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, where she defeated Haley J.
Amid the launch of AEW Collision, where many absent AEW stars will make their return, fans have been wondering about Serena’s status with AEW.
In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), there has been no update on Serena’s status with AEW, though Fightful has continued to ask.
The report notes that Serena has not been around backstage, and those that Fightful spoke to have said they haven’t heard of her being brought up in regards to creative.
Serena was defeated by Toni Storm in an AEW Women’s World Championship Lumberjack match on the September 28 episode of Dynamite.
Toni recaptured the AEW Women’s World Championship at the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view, where she defeated Jamie Hayter.
The TBS Championship also changed hands at Double or Nothing, with Kris Statlander ending Jade Cargill’s undefeated streak to become the second-ever champion.
