NXT Champion Adam Cole has been pulled from the brand’s current Midwest tour due to injury according to F4WOnline.
Cole hasn’t wrestled in several weeks and has been sporting a cast on his right wrist.
He did do an angle at the end of USA’s portion of this past Wednesday’s NXT where Matt Riddle attacked him after winning a number one contender’s Street Fight against Killian Dain.
The title match between Adam Cole and Riddle is still scheduled for this coming Wednesday’s episode, the first that will have both hours on the USA Network.
NXT did release the weekly storyline injury report following Wednesday’s show, and mentioned that Riddle had injured Cole’s arm:
Of course, this could just be to sell the storyline injuries, as it wouldn’t make sense to say he was injured and then have him wrestle on house shows the next few days.
Stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for any updates on Cole’s condition.
