Adam Cole has made his return to WWE programming on tonight’s NXT.
During the opening Triple Threat match, Cole emerged and attacked all three competitors. The match had been scheduled to determine the next challenger for Karrion Kross and the NXT Championship.
The match featured Kyle O’Reilly, Johnny Gargano, and Pete Dunne. Cole made his surprise return, attacking all three men and the referee before being ushered out by William Regal and security.
It had been reported earlier in the day that Cole’s return was being planned. The plans had the return taking place as early as tonight.
