Here is the latest on the status of former NXT Champion Adam Cole, ahead of tonight’s (September 5) AEW All Out pay-per-view.
Following Cole’s WWE contract expiring, it was speculated that Cole could make his AEW debut during the highly-anticipated All Out show.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), as of 5pm EST, the AEW locker room had not been officially informed that Adam Cole was going to be a part of All Out, or that he’d be joining the promotion.
The report pointed out that for comparison, CM Punk arrived at the United Center the day of his debut and socialized with talent prior to his Rampage appearance.
Cole’s WWE deal expired following NXT TakeOver 36. The former NXT Champion had reportedly signed a contract extention long enough to finish his rivalry with Kyle O’Reilly.
During talks with WWE, Cole reportedly made it clear that he would not be giving up his Twitch channel and this was “non-negotiable”.
