NXT Champion Adam Cole has had the Undisputed Era backing him up since his debut in 2017. One other group that people have wanted to see them face is the New Day. However, Cole might want to see something other than a match.
Cole recently appeared on WWE’s The Bump where he discussed a potential match between the two factions. Here is the full quote, courtesy of Fightful:
“When I think about New Day and Undisputed ERA, since UE formed, people have fantasized this idea of the two teams clashing. Leading up to Survivor Series, there was some time where UE was getting in there with New Day. I know the Undisputed ERA vs. New Day is something I would love to see, I know for a fact New Day feels the same way, and I know fans all over the world would love to see it. We’re in the discussion for greatest faction of all-time, we’ve proven that with our tenure and run. This is even more of a reason why I want Undisputed ERA vs. New Day. In modern times, factions are few and far between. So many people compared New Day and Undisputed ERA, that’s why this match needs to happen so we can settle it.”
However, it seems what he really wants to see is an air-guitar battle between Kyle O’Reilly and Big E.
“I would pay big money — air guitar off; Kyle O’Reilly vs. Big E. It’d be fantastic. But the winner, unanimously, would be Kyle O’Reilly. All respect to Big E.”
Sorry to say, but I think Adam Cole might have a point. If you have ever seen Kyle O’Reilly enter with a tag belt, you know who the best air guitarist in WWE is.
