Adam Cole On Why He Was Nervous To Team With Young Bucks At AEW Grand Slam

Adam Cole has discussed his relationship with The Young Bucks, recalling nerves before his AEW Rampage Grand Slam six-man tag bout.

Speaking on AEW Unrestricted, the former NXT Champion noted that he feels he has the best chemistry with Matt and Nick Jackson.

Cole admitted that he had doubts about if they could pick up where they left off ahead of their match against Christian Cage, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus in Arthur Ashe Stadium last month, but ultimately the magic was still there.

Also discussing the potential of the AEW roster, Cole said:

“I know Matt and Nick (Jackson) have been pretty open about this, and I feel the same way, when it comes to six-man tag matches, I feel we have the best chemistry together. There’s just something between Matt, Nick and myself that clicks completely, whether it be the ideas that we have, or our timing, or the moves we do. I always feel like me and The Young Bucks have just gelled so well.

“The really cool thing for me was when we had that Arthur Ashe six-man tag match on Rampage (Grand Slam), I remember being a little bit nervous, like ‘I haven’t teamed with (The Young Bucks) in like five years, and here we are, with the biggest show in AEW history as far as attendance goes. God I hope it’s still there’, and ‘it’ was. I love those guys to death, so it was really, really cool getting to team with them again, and on such a big stage as well.

“There are so many fresh matches and cool things we can do (in AEW) now. It really does feel like, with the roster we have, if nothing else changes, there’s like five years worth of material, easily, like minimum. There’s just so much we could do and I’ve only been here five or six weeks, I’m so amped.
