AEW
Adam Copeland and Christian Cage made their returns to AEW television at tonight’s Revolution pay-per-view event.
The first official match on the main show of tonight’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view event saw FTR face off against their bitter rivals the Young Bucks in the latest clash in their legendary rivalry.
FTR would retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship in the match, but after the match, two major names made their return.
Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Return To AEW
After FTR’s victory, the lights in the arena would go out, before a video aired on the screen saying ‘R-evenge’, with the R being Adam Copeland’s Rated R logo.
This would prompted Adam Copeland’s return, him coming out to his iconic theme song, before Christian Cage’s music would also hit.
Instead of coming out alongside Copeland, Cage snuck in behind FTR and Stokely, taking both Dax and Cash out and laying out Stokely with a Killswitch, before posing with the AEW World Championship.
What Have WWE Legends Edge & Christian Done In AEW
Edge and Christian made their names and became legends in WWE, but have both been active in AEW in recent years.
Now under the names Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, they have already been both rivals and more recently tag team partners during their time in AEW.
Cage was first to sign with the company, making his debut appearance at Revolution 2021.
He has gone on to become a two-time TNT Champion as well as an AEW World Trios Champion alongside Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus in a group led by Cage known as The Patriarchy.
Adam Copeland, on the other hand, made his AEW debut at WrestleDream 2023, saving Darby Allin from an attack at the hands of the aforementioned Patriarchy and Cage.
Like Cage, he has also had two reigns with the TNT Championship during his time in AEW.
After Copeland’s debut, he and Cage were at odds until July 2025, when Copeland saved Cage from being attacked by FTR.
The seven-time WWE World Tag Team Champions then managed to put their differences aside and reunited to take on FTR at All Out in September – a match that Copeland and Cage won before a post-match attack by FTR, who also laid out Copeland’s wife Beth (known as Beth Phoenix in WWE).
Copeland and Cage had both been absent from AEW TV since then prior to their return tonight.
