Adam Pearce has rescinded Bobby Lashley’s firing from WWE Raw.
On the December 5 edition of WWE Raw, Bobby Lashley accidentally speared WWE official Petey Williams following a pull-apart brawl with Seth Rollins.
The following week, Rollins defeated Lashley in a #1 contenders bout for the United States Championship. This came after the referee missed a pinfall attempt by “The All Mighty”.
After the match, Lashley became physical with two referees and shoved another WWE official Adam Pearce. The two-time WWE Champion was then fired for his actions.
On Tuesday, Adam Pearce took to Twitter to address the situation and revealed that he had rescinded Lashley’s termination. Pearce stated:
“Good afternoon, I would like to address what happened to end Monday Night Raw between myself and Bobby Lashley.”
“First and foremost, despite what I said last night, Bobby Lashley is not fired. That said, Bobby repeatedly crossed the line. Last night physically accosting two referees and putting his hands on me. Not to mention, spearing WWE official Pete Williams last week.”
“All of that behavior is unacceptable. All of it will be addressed and it will have repercussions. But despite that, I feel that I need to apologize to the WWE Universe for the way I conducted myself.”
Pearce continued on to apologize for how his actions made the situation worst with Bobby Lashley, saying:
“In the heat of the moment, I allowed emotion to get the better of me. And quite frankly, I said some things I shouldn’t have. And I’ll never apologize for having passion, but looking back on last night, it’s obvious to me that I did not channel mine in the right direction.”
“I want you to know that I regret that. Bobby and I are going to meet later this week man-to-man. We’re going to discuss the ramifications of what he’s done. And more importantly, how we can move forward and do business together with respect like we’ve always have up til now.”
“Again, I formally rescind Bobby Lashley’s termination and I sincerly apologize for my part in escalating an already volatile situation. Thank you.”
Seth Rollins will now move on to face Austin Theory for the United States Championship. WWE hasn’t confirmed when the bout will take place yet.
