An update on the main event of AEW’s upcoming All In event in Arlington, Texas on July 12 from tonight’s Dynamite show.
Last year’s AEW All In event took place in Wembley Stadium, and was headlined by Bryan Danielson capturing the AEW World Championship from Swerve Strickland.
Danielson, as well as Mariah May, earned their respective world championship matches at the event by winning the men’s and women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments.
With this year’s event set to take place in Texas on July 12, there has been speculation about who may end up in the main event of the show, and whether the Owen Hart Tournaments will return again this year.
On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay came to the ring following his hellacious steel cage match against Kyle Fletcher at Revolution, where he was asked what was next for him.
Ospreay said that he wants to win gold to prove that he is the best, but with Cope and Swerve Strickland already next in line, he has been thinking about when he will call his shot.
Ospreay then declared that he would go on to main event AEW All In in Arlington, Texas on July 12, where he plans on winning the AEW World Champion, whether the champion be Jon Moxley, Cope or Swerve Strickland.
Ospreay announced that he would be a part of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament to earn his shot at All In, confirming that the tournament will have the same rule this year.
The start date for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament has not been announced.
Tonight’s Dynamite show also saw the debut of Speedball Mike Bailey, with him now officially All Elite.
