WWE Hall Of Famer Claims AEW All In Doesn’t Need These Two Big Names AEW

A WWE Hall of Famer has named the two big wrestling names that he feels Tony Khan doesn’t need to make AEW All In a success.

With tickets now on sale for the Wembley Stadium event in August 27 2023, Eric Bischoff has discussed the “perception” that Tony Khan could bring to the event by bringing in non-AEW names as a sales tool.

Speaking on 83 Weeks, Biscoff turned his attention to Goldberg and Mercedes Mone, saying:

“I’m not so sure that I would want to bring in a Mercedes [Mone] or even a Goldberg for a one-off like this.

“I don’t know that I would do that, and I don’t think they’re going to need it, quite honestly if they have 55,000 people that have already signed up for presales.”

Bischoff would then go on to rationalise his thought process, adding:

“I wouldn’t want the perception, or in this case, maybe the reality, of having to rely on somebody who’s not a part of my company to help sell that house

“I said this last week, I wouldn’t even want Punk on the card. If I’m Tony Khan, I want to have done it without someone like CM Punk or certainly without someone like a Bill Goldberg or Mercedes.”

The WWE Hall of Famer recently described CM Punk as a “desperate bitch” after Punk’s backstage appearance at WWE Raw.

With CM Punk looking highly likely to make his AEW return in June 2023, Booker T recently pitched the idea of both Punk and Goldberg for the upcoming UK debut event in London.
