With AEW All In taking place at Wembley Stadium in London on August 27, a top NJPW has revealed the emotional reason they want a match.
Will Ospreay may be currently sidelined with an injury, but he’s got his eyes set on the future and has teased the possibility of a Wembley Stadium appearance.
He would also reveal the reason for wanting appearance at the iconic venue and how it goes beyond just wrestling.
Speaking to Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Ospreay revealed:
“Im a guy that pops in. All the love in the world to all those & its amazing crew. I hope there is an opportunity as 1 of the guys that flies the flag for Great Britain everywhere I go. To do that would finally make my dad proud.”
Ospreay doesn’t often speak about his family on social media, but did reveal that his father had beaten cancer in June 2021.
The former IWGP United States Champion is set to face Tanahashi in May 2023.
The winner will go on to face the victor of Lance Archer versus Juice Robinson for a shot at current US Champion Kenny Omega which may take place at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in June.
