AEW All In is still almost three months away and has already surpassed an impressive record set in the UK by WWE.
The company’s United Kingdom debut takes place on August 27 2023 with AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Although no matches have been announced for the huge show at the time of writing, Tony Khan revealed some figures during the AEW Double or Nothing media scrum.
During the scrum, Khan addressed the current performance of AEW All In, saying:
“I haven’t released a new figure yet, but we’re roughly at 65,000 (tickets).
“We’re well over the $8 million mark, with the exchange rate it changes with pounds, so when I say that, I mean $8 million, going on $9 million that we’re closing in on.”
He would go on to say that it is the biggest gate for a wrestling event in England and was informed that it’s the biggest gate for a wrestling event in the United Kingdom.
WWE Clash at the Castle took place in Cardiff, Wales in September 2022 with a reported attendance of 62,296 and a live gate of $8 million.
Durng the media scrum, Tony Khan also revealed that he’d had a conversation with WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg, though didn’t provide much further on the subject.
Eric Bischoff has previously cast a shadow over the need for big “outside” names for the upcoming United Kingdom show.
AEW Double or Nothing took place on Sunday May 28 in Las Vegas.
