An AEW star has said that he left All Out 2024 more banged up than anyone else, following his championship defence.
Saturday’s (September 7) pay-per-view is already considered one of AEW’s most violent shows, with numerous stars taken out with in-storyline extreme attacks.
AEW World Tag Team Champion Matthew Jackson has revealed that he is legitimately banged up following the Young Bucks’ title defence against Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta of the Blackpool Combat Club.
Jackson took to his Instagram story to share a photo of bruising on his eye, which you can view below.
The AEW EVP wrote:
Came out more banged up than anyone else last night. But what can I say? I do it for the love of the game.
Despite Matthew’s claims, reports have indicated that it was actually Nicholas Jackson who went into the match injured, after recently suffering a shoulder injury.
Another AEW name has revealed that he also suffered a black eye at the pay-per-view event, click here to read more.
All Out 2024 was headlined by an unsanctioned steel cage match, in which Hangman Page defeated Swerve Strickland.
Strickland has now addressed the extreme spots from this match, which you can read more about right here.
