An update has emerged on the planned main event for All Out after Jon Moxley squashed CM Punk in their Undisputed AEW World Championship bout.
When CM Punk returned to AEW TV on the August 10 edition of Dynamite, many assumed that Punk vs Moxley to crown the true AEW World Champion would be made official for the September 4 pay-per-view.
The undisputed title bout ended up taking place on the August 24 Dynamite. To the surprise of many, interim champion Moxley defeated CM Punk in just over three minutes.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is still for the rematch to headline All Out. Meltzer noted:
“It is Punk and Moxley. I don’t know if they’re gonna add stips or whatever, but that is the main event.”
After the AEW Rampage taping following Dynamite, Jon Moxley took a shot at WWE in an in-ring promo. Check out spoilers from the taping for the August 26 edition of Rampage right here.
