Big AEW All Out Spot Had Been Pitched & Shot Down ‘Numerous Times’ AEW

A spot which took place at AEW All Out 2024 had reportedly been pitched and shot down numerous times ahead of Saturday’s show.

With several AEW stars being brutally attacked during the September 7 pay-per-view, AEW All Out 2024 was very violent at times.

One of these attacks came after Bryan Danielson’s AEW World Championship defence against Jack Perry, with Jon Moxley choking Danielson out with a plastic bag.

Some backstage news has emerged on this spot, with a new report from Fightful Select confirming that this plastic bag smothering spot has been “pitched and shot down numerous times” in AEW.

Eddie Kingston noted in an interview earlier this year that he had asked AEW President Tony Khan to redo the infamous plastic bag angle that Flair and Funk did at Clash of the Champions 8 “several times”.

Other stars who were involved in brutal attacks at All Out include MJF, who was given a piledriver from the second rope by Daniel Garcia, and Swerve Strickland, who lost an unsanctioned steel cage match to Hangman Page after taking a steel chair shot to the head.

Big updates have emerged on plans for these stars following All Out, which you can read more about right here.
