Two major AEW stars are expected to be gone for a while following Saturday’s AEW All Out event.
The September 7 pay-per-view turned out to be a brutal one, with several AEW stars taking out with sickening attacks.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, both MJF and Swerve Strickland are expected to be taking time off following their angles at All Out.
Meltzer stated:
“(MJF) is taking time off. He didn’t lose but he ended up getting taken out. It’s an injury angle, he’s going to be gone for a while.
“(MJF) and Swerve both did injury angles, and are going to be gone for a while. I heard a long time ago that Swerve was going to sign the contract and get some time off, and this was the angle.”

While MJF was victorious in his All Out match against Daniel Garcia, he was attacked by Garcia after the bout, who dropped him with a second rope piledriver.
Swerve Strickland battled Hangman Page in the Lights Out Steel Cage main event, with Strickland coming up short following a syringe to the cheek and a steel chair shot to the head.
Strickland has now reacted to this brutal loss, which you can read more about right here.
