AEW Alliance To Break Up Soon? AEW

A popular AEW partnership may be set to come to an end at the upcoming Revolution pay-per-view event following a match announcement.

Swerve Strickland and Ricochet have been embroiled in a rivalry over the past few months, which saw Ricochet pick up the victory in the two men’s first match on Dynamite back on February 5.

After the match, Ricochet would put on and steal Swerve’s robe, which was Prince Nana’s trademark Embassy robe, that he has historically given to the ‘crown jewel’ of his Embassy.

Ricochet has paraded around in Nana’s robe since, with Nana begging him to hand the robe back on last week’s Dynamite show, which Ricochet obviously rejected.

On tonight’s Dynamite, Swerve and Nana came to the ring, where Swerve noted that he was looking to get back the AEW World Championship, but first he had to take care of Ricochet.

Ricochet again came out wearing Nana’s robe, saying he wouldn’t wrestle Swerve again, as he was finished with him after picking up the win in their first match.

Nana cut Ricochet off, where he said that he spoke to Tony Khan, and he got a contract for a match between Ricochet and Swerve, where the winner would be the number one contender for the AEW World Championship.

Ricochet then accepted the challenge, with the match made for AEW Revolution next Sunday in Los Angeles, but Prince Nana dropped another bombshell on Swerve during the segment.

Nana spoke about all the bullets that he took for Swerve over the years, and it pains him to see Ricochet wearing his legacy.

Nana told Swerve that he needs him to get his robe back in the match with Ricochet, and if he can’t, he doesn’t know if he can ‘do this anymore’, before walking out on Swerve.
