AEW Star Out For 8 Months Due To Surgery? AEW

It has emerged that AEW star Andrade El Idolo star could be out for up to eight months due to surgery.

Andrade recently shared the news that he has undergone surgery for a torn pectoral muscle.

He wrote:

“My first surgery I can’t believe it happened. A few months ago, I tore my pectoral. Thanks god! I could and wanted to finish my match. I kept working because I love the business but we know that many people do not value your effort, these days off I took the opportunity to go to Dr.”

As noted in the Wrestling Observer daily update, surgery for a torn pectoral muscle usually keeps one out of action for around eight months.

Of course, everyone is different and Dave Meltzer’s time frame is speculative based on the usual recovery times for this kind of surgery.

Andrade’s status with AEW has been somewhat of a question mark in recent weeks.

Previous reports suggested that Andrade had been serving a suspension following a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara during the October 5 taping of Dynamite.

The alleged incident occurred after Guevara and Andrade traded words on social media.

Andrade also recently hinted at a departure from AEW with a message that seemed to be a farewell.

WrestleTalk will share updates as they become available.
