An AEW star returning from injury will have their first match back very soon and the details have now been revealed.
Andrade El Idolo had teased his return for the upcoming AEW Collision debut on June 17.
Having been off our screens since AEW All Out on September 4, 2022 and undergoing surgery for a torn pectoral muscle, Andrade has been well on the road to recovery.
He’s now ready to step back into the ring but this return won’t take place at AEW Collision in Chicago.
Andrade has posted details of his return to the square circle on his own Instagram account revealing it’ll take place on June 15.
At Gomez Palacio, Durango in Mexico, Andrade will compete in a Triangular de la Muerte match that will also feature Psycho Clown and Cibernetico.
With AEW Collision being only two days later, Andrade certainly has a busy return planned with it being previously revealed that CM Punk was eager to push Andrade on the new Saturday night show.
Andrade has recently spoken about his contract status in AEW, revealing that it expires “soon”.
He made his AEW debut on the June 4, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite, footage of that moment can be seen below this news story.
A former WWE star, he had been granted his release from that company in March 2021
