As was reported earlier this week on Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW has announced that it’s next special episode of AEW Dynamite will take place on December 30 and January 6.
The two night show is called New Year’s Smash, but so far we don’t have any details of the cards for either night. You’d assume the name is a play on NJPW’s annual New Year’s Dash show, which will get fans interested, I’m sure.
NXT is also holding its New Year’s Evil show on January 6, but I’m sure this is definitely a coincidence and not obvious counter-programming once again…cough.
What we do know is that Snoop Dogg will be a special guest for night 2. I guess just being Snoop Dogg makes his appearance on a wrestling show make sense.
