AEW Announces Name For First House Show

AEW have updated the line-up for their first non-televised live event, revealing a name for the historic show.

On April 9, AEW will host their first house show. With a new casino-themed name, the company are making sure the inaugural event will be one to remember.

The show is now being referred to as “The House Always Wins”. This event will take place at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida the night before WrestleMania 37.

It was also announced that Darby Allin will defend the TNT Championship on the show. AEW shared this graphic on Twitter to build hype for Allin’s non-televised defence:

Matches already confirmed include Cody Rhodes vs Ethan Page and. Death Triangle vs Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler. AEW Champion Kenny Omega will team with Michael Nakazawa to face Matt and Mike Sydal. You can read about those announcements here.

AEW have often used casino related terms for their shows. The first official AEW show was of course named Double or Nothing, with the Casino Battle Royal returning for most AEW pay-per-views.
