On Saturday evening, former AEW Women’s Champion Nyla Rose announced that a close family member had tested positive for COVID, meaning she has to self-isolate and will miss the Dynamite taping this week.
Nyla Rose was advertised for a match with Leyla Hirsch on Wednesday’s show, and AEW has now announced Rose’s replacement for the bout on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT.

Unfortunately, AEW also had to scrap a women’s match on last week’s episode due to COVID. The planned Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker match was pulled as Rosa was unable to make the tapings after coming into contact with the virus.
