AEW Star Arrested, No Longer With The Company AEW

An AEW star is reportedly no longer with the company after being arrested for battery by strangulation in January 2025.

Bear Boulder of the Iron Savages/Bear Country tag team, real name Thomas Wansaw, was arrested on January 13.

Wansaw, 34, was arrested in Winter Garden, Florida on charges of battery by strangulation at 4:45pm that day.

A police report noted that Wansaw’s fiancée alleged that he had “physically battered” her, and the police deputy had observed what appeared to be “several injuries” on her body.

PWInsider added:

Wansaw was assigned a public defender on 1/14 after declaring he makes $3100 every two weeks and owns no property.  

The same day, Wansaw was issued a no contact order for the victim, but after a hearing on 1/27, Wansaw’s order was updated was modified with Wansaw being ordered to have no “hostile/violent contact with the victim”, a request made by the victim that the State had no objection against. Wansaw was initially ordered to maintain a separate residence from the victim but that order has been lifted at the request of the victim.  

Wansaw has also been ordered not to own or possess any firearms, weapons or ammunition.

Currently, no new court dates are listed. It may be the Prosecution has not yet made a determination as to whether to move forward with the charges.

It was also noted that sources have indicated Wansaw is no longer with AEW.
