Major AEW Star Listed As A Backstage Producer For Dynamite? AEW

UPDATE: Fightful has now confirmed in a comment to the original post that ‘Jon’ didn’t refer to Jon Moxley. Fightful wrote ‘It’s not Moxley, I checked’

Details on the run-down of backstage producers for the most recent edition of AEW Dynamite, as well as Rampage and Battle of the Belts VI have been revealed via Fightful Select (Subscription Required).

While familiar names such as Pat Buck, Jerry Lynn and Dustin Rhodes are present there is also one rather curious name that may point towards a new role for one of the company’s major stars.

For the segment featuring The Acclaimed and 2Point0 the producer has been listed as simply “Jon” without a last name.

While not confirmation of such it led Fightful to inquire whether this Jon was in fact former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.

Fightful noted in the report that while it could refer to Serpentico, real name Jonathan Cruz, however this is not the case as he is listed as Serpentico elsewhere in the listings as the producer for the Blackpool Combat Club squash match and the Ethan Page vs Hook match on Rampage.

Fightful has not revealed whether they have in fact got confirmation that Jon is Jon Moxley, however, it would potentially tie into Moxley’s recent comments regarding helping younger talent on his wife Renee Paquette’s The Sessions Podcast.

This is one to look out for when Fightful releases the list of producers for this week’s shows, potentially giving us a clearer answer.

The full producer listings for Dynamite are as follows:

– Ricky Starks, Jay White, Juice Robinson: Jerry Lynn

– House of Black vs. Best Friends: Dustin Rhodes

– Riho vs. Jamie Hayter: BJ Whitmer

– Acclaimed and 2pointO: ‘Jon’

– MJF Day Segment: Pat Buck

– Komander vs. Sammy Guevara: Sonjay Dutt & Sarah Stock

– Hook vs. Ethan Page: QT Marshall

– Blackpool Combat Club squash: Serpentico
