
Find out which titles changed hands at AEW Battle of the Belts 5 that aired directly after tonight’s (January 6) AEW Rampage.
There were four title bouts on the docket tonight in AEW, find out which resulted in a new champion!
During the AEW Rampage main event, Darby Allin retained his TNT Championship in a match against Mike Bennett of the Kingdom.
In the opener for AEW Battle of the Belts 5, The Acclaimed retained their AEW World Tag Team Championship.
Over in the AEW Women’s division, Jade Cargill successfully defended her TBS Championship against Skye Blue.
Finally in the Battle of the Belts 5 main event, Orange Cassidy defended the AEW All Atlantic Championship against Kip Sabian.
After a precarious final third of the match whereby it seemed the Butcher and the Blade were poised to cost Cassidy the match, the Best Friends emerged to chase off the interlopers.
With Sabian and Cassidy now one on one, there were a few more near falls until ultimately Cassidy retained.
So, to clarify: zero titles changed hands tonight.
Announced on the special for next week’s edition of AEW Rampage, Buddy Matthews and Brody King billed as ‘The Kings of the Black Throne’ will take on Eddie Kingston and Ortiz.
Also next week on Rampage, it will be a a street fight when Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale team up to take on Anna Jay A.S. and Tay Melo.
