AEW is gearing up for another special, Battle of the Belts next week and have already announced one title bout for the card.
After feuding with Orange Cassidy, the bastard PAC will be facing another one of the Best Friends, Trent Beretta for the AEW All Atlantic Championship on the special edition.
Another potential match that was teased on last night’s September 30 edition of AEW Rampage between two titans of the Women’s division.
After a backstage interaction saw Nyla Rose step to Jade Cargill, Cargill seemed to accept Rose’s challenge for a future TBS Championship match.
AEW’s next Battle of the Belts is notable in that it has moved for the first time from Saturday to Friday night, set to also air live after a live edition of next week’s AEW Rampage.
While AEW typically runs the Battle of the Belts shows on Saturday, it would be putting the effort in direct competition with WWE’s next premium live event, Extreme Rules.
Instead AEW has moved the effort to Friday evening, making for a jam packed night for wrestling fans with an additional two hours of AEW programming after the two hour ‘season premiere’ edition of WWE SmackDown for Friday, October 7.
Since it is ‘Battle of the Belts’ afterall, more title bouts are expected to be added to the card throughout the week.
AEW’s Battle of the Belts IV is set to air next Friday, October 7 at 11pm EST directly after AEW Rampage at 10pm EST.
