AEW has officially announced the date and location for the Battle of the Belts II taping, following the inaugural special in January.
On Twitter, AEW confirmed that Battle of the Belts II will be taped on April 15 in the Culwell Center in Texas. The special will be taped following a live edition of Rampage.
While AEW has yet to confirm the event’s airdate, Tony Khan previously revealed that these specials will air quarterly, and on Saturdays, meaning it is likely that Battle of the Belts II will air the next night, on April 16.
The first Battle of the Belts event was an hour-long show, headlined by Riho challenging Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Championship. Matches for the interim TNT Championship, and the FTW Title also took place on the card.
This Battle of the Belts announcement comes after AEW’s statement about Cody Rhodes departure, which you can read at this link.
