AEW Battle Of The Belts V Set To Air Live

More details have emerged on the air date and time of AEW Battle of the Belts V, the first Battle of the Belts event of 2023.

As was announced in November, the Battle of the Belts V taping will emanate from Portland, Oregon on Friday, January 6, 2023. A Rampage taping has also been advertised for the January 6 date.

Per the TNT schedule, Battle of the Belts V is scheduled to air after Rampage, indicating that both shows will air live.

No matches have been announced for the upcoming special, as of writing.

AEW held four Battle of the Belts events in 2022, with new editions of the special airing quarterly.

Britt Baker defeated Riho to retain the AEW Women’s Championship in the main event of the first Battle Of The Belts show, which aired live on January 8 from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Thunder Rosa vs Nyla Rose for the AEW Women’s Title headlined Battle of the Belts II, which was taped in Garland, Texas on April 15, but aired the next night.

Claudio Castagnoli defeating Konosuke Takeshita in their ROH World Title match at Battle of the Belts III, which was taped in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 5, but airing the next night.

A ROH World Tag Team Championship bout between FTR and the Gates of Agony was the final match on the The fourth Battle of the Belts even, which aired on October 7.
